CHANDAN DATTA

I am currently a doctoral student in the Robotics Research Group at the Department of  Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Auckland, New Zealand under the supervision of Dr Bruce MacDonald , Faculty of Engineering and Dr Elizabeth Broadbent,School of Medicine . I'm working at the Centre for Healthcare Robotics, a joint Korea-University healthcare robotics laboratory. My doctoral research involves design of programming languages, visual programming environments and human robot interaction for personal service robots with application to healthcare.

I'm interested in interdisciplinary research projects that create social and business value . I've been mostly self-taught, fortunate to have been able to work under the limelight of the best mentors and scholars in robotics across different continents, and I have a fundamental fascination with robotics technology from a very young age.
